Coaching for Aligning Life and Body
“Once I finally get rid of this thing in my life… THEN I can start living…”
The statement is a trap often hiding just underneath our intentions to heal…
I went to a hiking trail — Intending to run — get in a “work out”
But I came to a stream and that inner voice said - follow the water.
One thing I love about excursions in nature - is how they can always provide life lessons… IF you can translate the experience into metaphor.
Sometimes you feel something and think:
“I need a drink.” or “I can’t talk to that person.” or “There’s no way I can exercise today”…
The question is - what do you do after the thought?
For me, most mantras and affirmations don’t seem to stick-
The exception for me has been those words from Thich Nhat Hanh and his tradition…
Like the phrase “A rose is a rose is a rose”— when it comes to the body, “a stretch is not a stretch is not a stretch”.
How you stretch and what you intend to stretch and how you position your parts — matters.
This is why it’s important to understand the relationship between our parts and to strive for a balance between both mobility and stability.
