Modern life has a simple problem: We sit too much, move too little, and our bodies pay the price.
Stiff neck, tight hips, low energy, aching back... it adds up, even if you exercise or have a “good” desk setup.
Standing desks help — but any position held too long becomes an issue.
Most people think they can exercise their way out of this problem. However, exercise alone cannot offset the volume of time we spend in sedentary positions.
The key to staying mobile and pain free in the work place and beyond is to develop a lifestyle and work environment that encourage variation, awareness, and functional movement.
This workshop will give you practical principles, daily habits, and easy movements you can do anywhere to reduce pain, increase mobility, and make your workspace healthier.
You’ll learn how to:
Reduce stiffness, aches, and postural strain.
Improve hip, core, and pelvic floor function.
Build balance, mobility and strength.
Bring more movement into your day without sacrificing productivity.
Expect more energy, sharper focus, less fatigue, and fewer aches — while lowering your long-term risk for chronic disease.
This is a 5 session workshop - each class will be 1 hour - that will cover the following topics:
Body Principles - and why modern environments contribute to pain and fatigue
Sitting Makeover - keep your body moving well even while in a chair!
Whole Body Alignment Upgrade! - Daily habits and movement patterns that reduce stress and strain on your all your parts.
Developing a Dynamic Workstation - let your environment encourage better, pain-solving movement
Daily Restorative Practices to undo the stiffness from our sedentary times.
