The “3 B’s” of physical training.
How to meet physical challenges with wisdom and strategy and make better progress!
We all hit blocks when working with our bodies. Sometimes, it’s the experience of pain, or maybe the fear of hurting ourselves holds us back, or it could simply be an exercise or move is challenging because we need to build the strength, flexibility or better coordination.
The temptation is to give in to frustration, to get discouraged, or to give up entirely.
But This doesn’t have to be the case! We always have 3 options whenever we face physical challenges. I call these the 3 B’s of physical training.
Bolster, Break it down, or Barter.
In this workshop, we’ll look at
how analyzing a physical challenge can help us find a variety of sub-exercises as a strategy for mastering the move
How using props to bolster the parts of our bodies that lack mobility or strength can actually be a better and healthier workout overall
And how to negotiate those times when a particular exercise isn’t right for you in that moment.
This session will leave you with some strategies and tools for feeling confident to adjust an exercise to your current body’s needs.
This workshop stands alone as itself, but is also the 1st in a 3 part series for using the 3B principles both in movement and in life.
